75 New SAT Problems Just Dropped
Great news for everyone preparing for the Digital SAT! On April 14, the College Board updated its official SAT Question Bank with 75 brand-new problems. Whether you're a student grinding through practice or a tutor refreshing your curriculum, these questions offer a real snapshot of where the test is heading right now.
What's New in the April 2026 Release?
This batch spans multiple difficulty levels across all the domains that matter most. Here's what's in the update:
Algebra Focus: The bulk of the new problems center on linear equations, systems, and inequalities. You'll encounter everything from straightforward unit conversions and cost calculations to genuinely complex word problems—like figuring out star cluster masses or solving tricky coin collection scenarios.
Advanced Math & Functions: If you're targeting a top score, you'll find sharper challenges here. Expect nonlinear functions, tricky intercept interpretations on complex graphs, and problems where you need to find constants in quadratic vertex forms.
Data Analysis: Several "Hard" tier problems land here, testing your grasp of ratios, percentages, and statistical measures (mean and median). You'll work with histograms and dot plots that require real analytical thinking, not just formula plugging.
Geometry & Trigonometry: New content covers congruent triangles, circle equations in the xy-plane, and surface area problems with variables baked into rectangular prisms.
